Privacy

Short version: Rotbox doesn't have accounts. The app sends anonymous usage stats, like which game you played and for how long, so we can make it better. The free version shows ads from Appodeal and its partners. Your settings and sign-ins stay on your iPhone, and you can wipe them from Settings.

What Rotbox is

Rotbox splits your screen in two. The top half shows TikTok, Reels & Shorts, the platform's own website loaded inside the app. The bottom half runs a small game built into the app.

What we collect

Rotbox has no user accounts of its own. The app sends us anonymous usage stats:

• A random ID made when you install the app. It isn't linked to your name, email, Apple ID or your TikTok, Reels & Shorts accounts. Deleting your data in Settings replaces it with a new one.
• What you do in Rotbox: when the app opens and for how long, which game you play and for how long, how long you watch a feed and how many videos go by, whether you open Premium, and purchases or restores (the product, its price and whether it's a free trial).
• The app and iOS version, iPhone model, language and region settings, and the country your connection comes from. We don't keep IP addresses.

We never collect what you watch: no videos, links, creators, captions, likes or anything from your TikTok, Reels & Shorts accounts. Rotbox's stats don't use your advertising identifier.

We use these stats to see which games and features people use, to find problems and to understand how Rotbox is doing. They're stored with Cloudflare, which runs our server. We don't sell them or use them for advertising. The app's privacy manifest lists them as not linked to you and not used for tracking.

Ads

The free version of Rotbox shows ads from Appodeal and its advertising partners. To pick and measure ads, they may collect information from your device, such as its IP address, device type, how you interact with ads and, only if you allow it when iOS asks, its advertising identifier. That's covered by Appodeal's privacy policy and its partners' policies. You can turn off tracking requests in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Rotbox Premium removes the ads Rotbox shows. Ads that TikTok, Reels & Shorts show in their feeds come from them.

Signing in to TikTok, Reels & Shorts

• You sign in on the platform's own sign-in page, shown inside the app. Rotbox doesn't build its own sign-in form and never sees or stores your password.
• Like any browser, the app keeps the cookies and website data those platforms set, so you stay signed in. That data is stored on your device only.
• What you watch, like or share happens on the platform's website and is covered by TikTok's, Instagram's (Reels) or Google's (Shorts) privacy policy. Their ads and recommendations come from them, not from us.

What stays on your device

Everything else the app keeps stays on your iPhone:

• Your settings, like auto scroll, video and game sound, and haptics.
• Which platform and game you picked last, and whether you've finished the intro.
• The platforms' own cookies and website data, described above.

The games run offline, entirely on your phone.

Deleting your data

In Rotbox, open Settings → Delete account. This clears your connected accounts, website data and Rotbox settings on this device. It doesn't delete your TikTok, Reels & Shorts accounts, and it doesn't cancel an App Store subscription. You can also disconnect a single platform from Settings, or delete the app.

Purchases

If Rotbox offers a subscription, Apple handles payment through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a subscription is active, and the anonymous stats above note the purchase itself.

Subscription screens may be shown through Superwall, which receives the app's anonymous identifier, which screen was shown and whether a purchase or restore happened, so we can measure what works. It never receives your payment details or your feed.

Children

Rotbox isn't directed at children under 13. TikTok, Reels & Shorts set their own minimum ages, and you need an account with them to use the feed.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
